My two favorite knitting shops are Great Balls of Yarn in West Palm Beach, Florida and Twin Hearts handworks in Pittsfield, Massachusetts Dear friends on Cape Cod, my old home, have told me about a new shop there, The Black Purls in East Sandwich. | Yes, I've returned to my knitting roots - I always loved knitting, I just wasn't that good at it! But the wool, the colors, the feel of it all always appealed to me. And after I stitched Angel a collar, and stitched her Christmas stocking, I was at a loss what to make for her (a needlepoint coat was out of the question) |

| Actually, it was a few years ago at a trade show where my booth was across the aisle from Style Hounds, a company that sells kitted sweaters for dogs, where I got the idea to try knitting again. The gal who owns the business, Laurel, had a great short haircut, too, and she "loaned" me her hair stylist (Hello, Gorgeous in Columbus, Ohio and New York City). One of the best haircuts I ever got, too! |
